Achtung Artenvielfalt!

The nationwide action week for the protection of biodiversity

From October 9-15, 2023, the “Achtung Artenvielfalt!” action week will enter its third round.

From October 9-15, 2023, the action week “Achtung Artenvielfalt!” goes into the third round. This year, FEdA and the Leibniz Natural History Museums are once again bundling events across Germany that focus attention on the role of biodiversity in our lives.

Last year, 40 nature conservation associations and research institutions across Germany got involved with more than 70 on- and offline events. Discussion rounds, special tours in museums and botanical gardens, Instagram challenges, documentary evenings, podcasts and excursions – you can find the events offered in the 2022 review.

This year we want to build on the success. We would be delighted if you too became part of “Achtung Artenvielfalt!” and registered for an event.

The organizers of the action week are the BMBF-Research Initiative for the Conservation of Biodiversity (FEdA) and the Leibniz Natural History Museums – the “Museum für Naturkunde” in Berlin, the Senckenberg Museums in Frankfurt am Main, Görlitz & Dresden and the Leibniz Institute for Biodiversity Change Analysis in Bonn & Hamburg. The nationwide action week “Achtung Artenvielfalt!” was launched in 2021 by the FEdA and the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research. A review of the action week in 2021 can be found here.
