Faktencheck Artenvielfalt

Effectiveness of measures and implementation obstacles

In the topic area “Effectiveness of measures and implementation obstacles”, we evaluate measures in the fields of nature conservation, agriculture, as well as forestry, water management and urban planning.

Both the effectiveness of governmental and private (economic) engagement and the influence of the duration and scale of the measure will be investigated and compared. In addition, implementation obstacles of measures will be addressed in this topic area. We will also have a closer look at the German protected area system in terms of coverage of the different natural regions and species groups as well as their effectiveness and potentials for conserving biodiversity.
