NFDI4Biodiversity
An essential part of the research initiative’s work is the collection and analysis of data to identify changes in biodiversity and investigate the causes of these changes. The datasets generated by the FEdA projects will also be made available for further analysis through a central portal on this website.
For this purpose, FEdA cooperates with the national consortium NFDI4Biodiversity, which addresses the collaborative use of biodiversity and environmental data. Contents of the cooperation are, for example, knowledge transfer on the topic of research data management as well as advice and support for FEdA projects in the creation of data management plans and the archiving of research data.
NFDI4Biodiversity is a consortium under the umbrella of the National Research Data Infrastructure, in which valuable databases for the German science system are systematically developed, linked up, and made permanently usable. The consortium offers the scientific community access to modern technologies and a comprehensive stock of biodiversity and environmental data, methods and tools for archiving, publishing, searching and analyzing data that are suitable for everyday use and have been tested in practice, as well as an expert forum for the secure and competent handling of data that is to be made available for broad and responsible use.
